How this platform's testlets differ
The real NBCOT exam mixes single-response multiple-choice items with multi-select scenario item sets across all 4 domains in one continuous 4-hour session, with no domain-by-domain breakdown or separate timer per topic. This portal instead lets you drill one of the 4 content domains at a time: pick a domain below and take a focused, timed testlet of up to 15 questions (fewer if a domain's bank has fewer items), paced at the exam's overall average of about 1.3 minutes per question. It won't feel like sitting the full-length exam, but it's built for honest, untimed-then-timed review of each domain.
A note on scoring
NBCOT reports a criterion-referenced scaled score on a 300–600 scale, with 450 as the passing score, computed across the whole exam — there is no published separate passing standard or scaled subscore per domain. This portal reports plain accuracy (percent correct) on a fixed testlet, with a study-signal label — not an official passing determination of any kind.
